WDSU’s mission -- before, during and after Hurricanes Katrina and Rita – is to be On Your Side. For the past year, it has been the commitment of all of us at WDSU to stand by you -- the community.

This special On Your Side: 365 website evolved as a tribute to your resiliency and determination to rebuild our historic and culturally rich neighborhoods and communities.

On Your Side 365 also gives us the opportunity to recognize the extraordinary efforts and accomplishments made each and every day by you -- the citizens of this great American city.

Each week we’ll honor individuals and their outstanding contributions to the community -- by presenting them with a special “On Your Side Award.”

During the past weeks, you’ve witnessed our commitment to be On Your Side 365 -- as we’ve gone parish--by--parish to reflect on the progress made by thousands of hardworking residents.

Now, on this first anniversary of Katrina -- we invite you to join this new online discussion. It’s our hope that the “WDSU Think Tank” will stimulate ideas and solutions and serve as a catalyst to help us move forward and rebuild a better New Orleans and metropolitan area.
